Love the product and mainly
"Love the product and mainly because I can add my own essential oils"
Hair shampoo
"I’m very happy with the product - love the fact I can add my own essential oils - Rosemary being my favourite!"
Small quantity and smells bad
"Hate it"
I’m so glad you asked!
"I’m so glad you asked! I have been meaning to ask, it says basic shampoo and conditioner, does that mean I have to add something to them, if so, what? You have been so patient and accommodating with all my stupid questions and order mishaps in the past, I fear this is another one! Once I know I will proceed!!"
Great conditioner without the ingredients that can cause rash
"Good conditioner."
Great conditioner
"I have very dry fine hair so need a conditioner that doesn’t weigh it down, this is perfect lovely and moisturising and not too thick so can use in a pump bottle. I add essential oil, honey moisturiser and phytokeratin which enriches it further, will be buying more soon to stock up as this is my new favourite hair conditioner!"
Q&A
- I need more suggestion to use it , what percentage of actives i can add? how much oil if i wanted to add pumpkin seed oil?
- Please see the below response from our Technical Team; "Although you can add actives to the base hair conditioner, bear in mind that you will just be rinsing them off. To see how much of each active to add, you can look at the how to use section under each product. Note that adding too many actives can cause irritation, destabilise the product, and cause the actives not to work in the way that they should. Regarding the Pumpkin Oil, I would recommend adding about 5% to start with and adjusting it higher or lower until you get the desired effect. Adding to much oil will make your hair greasy. You could also add essential oils for scent, I would recommend up to 3% of these, but check each IFRA document for recommended maximum amounts in certain product categories. I would also recommend making small batches to begin with until you are happy with your product."
- Hello, up to how much percentage can I add the raw materials? Is it possible to add up to 5%? Looking to add squalane, essential oils and maybe panthenol. Thanks.
- Thank you for your enquiry. Please see the below response from our Research and Development Team; "I don't see a problem with 5% as such, however, it really depends on what the other ingredients are. For example, some essential oils are restricted so they would have to check the individual IFRA declarations for each oil."
- Hi… can fresh aloe Vera juice/gel and other oils be added to this base? Do i need to add a preservative if so? Thank you
- Thank you for your enquiry. Please see the below response from our Research and Development Team; "The balance of ingredients in the Base Conditioner would not allow for adding aloe vera juice or extra carrier oils as either could cause the base product to separate."
- Is this classed as vegan friendly
