It is worth noting that if you are using shorter date ingredients to make a product
containing a preservative, it will still have a normal shelf life of 12 months to 18 months, thanks to the addition of the preservative.
Of course, if you are making products to sell or retail be sure you use the ingredient in question before its date expires.
