AWFUL: STAY AWAY

"Awful - There are no instructions as to how to use this potent acid product, which makes it very dangerous. The first time I used it, it was like having a chemical peel. Surely it should come with instructions????? Please do not use this product without researching how to use an acid this strong"

Fantastic!

Q&A

how can I use your Lactic acid 80% as face peel
Lactic Acid is one of quite a few Alphy Hydroxy Acids. Aromantic's AHA Natural Fruit Extract is made up of 5 of them (including Lactic Acid). I would suggest using no more than 2% in a product that is going to be used daily and no more than 10% maximum, and that would only be in a product that would be used occasionally. You could look at the recipe for Rinse Off Peeling Gel and substitute the AHA for Lactic Acid. However, as we haven't tried it and tested it, we can't guarantee how it will turn out. It should be fine though. It's always important to do a skin test before using a new product. https://aromantic.co.uk/blogs/recipes/rinse-off-peeling-gel [https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0070/6684/5254/articles/Rinse_off_peel_gel_001_1.png?v=1660139787] Rinse Off Peeling Gel This easy to make peeling gel contains a lower percentage of AHA's. To use, apply with your fingertips and leave for 5 minutes. Then simply rinse off with running water, ensuring you don't get any in your eyes. Remember to apply a moisturiser afterwards. aromantic.co.uk
Hi, at wich percentage lactic acid stopa to be a moisturizer and become an exfoliator?
Thank you for your enquiry. Lactic Acid acts as a moisturiser when used at up to 1%. Once you are using more than 1% it starts to act as a chemical exfoliant. 1% will have a mild exfoliating effect but this will increase with higher percentages of Lactic Acid. Don't use more than 10% Lactic Acid in a cream as this can cause irritation as well as making the cream separate.
Is this good for acne scaring please
Lactic Acid used in a skin peel type of product may be helpful in reducing the appearance of acne scars. It should always be used in dilution, never neat. The maximum usage rate is 10% but remember that this is likely to cause an emulsion to go runny and may cause it to separate. It may also cause reddening of the skin so it should be used with caution. We suggest using it at a lower percentage for a while and see how your skin responds to it. Results may not be visible for some months.
Sorry, And your Lactid Acid as well. Thank you

I would like to use the lactic acid (80%) to brighten the look of my skin but as I have some dark marks but I don’t want to make it worse as it is quite a high percentage. Am I able to use it straight on the skin on its own or does it need to be washed off after use or do I need a neutraliser? What’s the best way to use it without damaging the skin?. Thank you
Thank you for your enquiry. Please read the "How To Use It" section of the website listing as you will find lots of information here including usage rates.
