Inci: Corylus Avellana Seed Oil

A very fine textured oil with sinks in well without any greasy feeling. Excellent for all skin types, especially sensitive and oily skin.

A clear, yellow oil with a mild nutty aroma expressed from the nuts of Organic Hazel trees.

Use 1% to 100%.

Oil soluble so cannot be used in water only products. It can be used in small amounts in water based gels that will hold it in suspension.

Heat stable so can be used in Stage 1 (fat stage) when making creams and lotions.

Blend Hazelnut Oil with Jojoba Oil to use on acne prone skin that has blackheads as the Jojoba will act as a solvent to help clear the pores.

Cautions/Contraindications

Not suitable for anyone with a nut allergy.

Skin Care

The first choice oil to use for acne prone skin. The oil is non comedogenic so will not block the pores. It has a non greasy feel with a very fine texture.
The astringency of Hazelnut Oil tones and tightens the skin and can make oily skin types feel more like normal skin types.
Hazelnut Oil is excellent for all skin types including combination skin, sensitive skin and very soft to use on a baby’s skin.
It helps to maintain the skin's firmness. It moisturises the skin and is highly penetrative, so blend with other fattier vegetable oils have an even better effect. This also makes Hazelnut Oil excellent to use in massage products.

Hazelnut Oil is excellent for rough and tired skin. Use in dehydrated skin serums, hand and foot creams. It gives an instant feeling of skin softening.

Use in balms. Blend Hazelnut Oil with Shea Butter as it will also make the balm feel less greasy.

It does offer some SPF protection but not enough to be able to use it as a declared sun product. Use in daily defence creams and lotions.

Hair Care

Good for moisturising the hair shaft whilst penetrating quickly.

Keeps the hair shaft supple and the scalp in good condition.

Very good for combination skin

"I was really surprised when using this oil on my skin (sensitive and oily on the T zone with lots of imperfections). It leaves the skin really soft, flexible and not oily looking. It’s the perfect addition to my usual routine (quite simple and with minimal products). It also says it helps prevent acne and helps speed the healing process and prevent scars. So far I have noticed a little improvement but it hasn’t been long enough yet."

Love this oil

"Really pleased with this oil. I have sensitive, 40+ skin which can get a little oily so after looking at different oils to add to the few I use, I thought I would give this a try. It is a lovely addition and I do feel it is nourishing but balances out the oiliness. Really pleased! I also love this website, great products and delivery is quick with updates."
